Nuevitas, 2025.- Radio Nuevitas was highlighted with several award-winning works in the 36th edition of the Provincial Radio Festival in Camagüey, held last Thursday 8.
In the contest, where fifty works by creators from the 11 stations of Camagüey province competed, prizes were awarded to the special programs A raíz de lo nuestro -dedicated to the visits of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro to Nuevitas-, and the Specialized Music program Rumba con Los D'Leonel, as well as the interview Mirar la vida desde una óptica visual.
Meanwhile, the Children's News in the non-musicalized children's program category and the testimony “Dos almas en un solo ser (Two souls in one being)” in the News Genres category came in second place.
Another merit for the octogenarian plant of this municipality in northeastern Camagüey was the recognition as Best Web Site for Radio Nuevitas digital.
According to the Radio Cadena Agramonte website, Pedro Cruz Moiset, director of the parent plant, commented that the main challenge is the commitment with the truth and the Camagüey people, so that each work reflects the reality of today's Cuban society, with quality and creativity.
Once again, this municipality will represent Camagüey province in the National Cuban Radio Festival with communicative products born and materialized in CMHL's studios. On this occasion, the festival will be held in the City of Tinajones next June.
