Nuevitas.- Lester Alejandro Acosta Jaime, a Nuevitas resident, received an honorable mention in the national drawing contest Por una Gota de Agua Limpia de Plásticos (For a Drop of Plastic-Free Water).
The need to collect the solid waste that humans irresponsibly dump on beaches was reflected in the work of this student, who is part of the Amistad con los Pueblos primary school in this coastal city in northwestern Camagüey.
The awards ceremony took place on March 22 in the Cuban capital, with the participation of other schoolchildren with proposals related to the subject.
