Through recycling, an activity promoted in the classrooms, children maintain an action that, far from being an environmentalist trend in developed countries, is a necessity for the nation.
In addition, after collecting materials such as paper, cardboard and plastic, the pupils make new products and didactic materials, including pencil holders, toys for preschool students and classroom decorations.
An example of this is the third grade class A, belonging to the Amistad con los Pueblos Primary School of this city, which is also assisted by its teacher Anni Guillén Ramírez.
According to the educator, the process of collecting and making with recyclable materials motivates children to be more careful and conscious of environmental protection.
Guillén Ramírez also recognizes that raw material recycling contributes to generate innovative strategies and has an impact on the country's economy.
