Nuevitas, 2025.- A capacity creation meeting was held, with the entertainment team of the Resonance Blue hotel in the resort of Santa Lucia, as part of the actions coordinated by the Blue Tourism and Thalassia projects.
The scholars exchanged with the tourist facility's entertainers about the results and impacts, the work prospects for the year 2025 and the work they do in Santa Lucía.
This meeting provided an opportunity to learn about the uses and properties of the seagrass Thalassia testudinum and its importance for the ecosystem.
The gathering also included the presentation of products made from Thalassia extract, which are part of the new tourist interest Blue Customer, designed in actions of the Blue Tourism project, and which includes tooth gel, shampoo, body cream, exfoliating and bath soaps, as well as aromatic candles and their cosmetic benefits.
The event also fostered dialogue between animators and researchers in the context of capacity creation with an audience, a goal that can contribute to make people sensitive and encourage environmental awareness in national and foreign tourists about marine-coastal ecosystems.
