Nuevitas, 2025.- The island of Cuba is the Caribbean nation with the highest number of sites on the World Heritage List.

These include the Historic Center of Old Havana and its system of fortifications (December 1982, Paris, France); the Historic Urban Center of Trinidad and its Valley de los Ingenios (December 1988, Brasilia, Brazil); the San Pedro de la Roca Castle in Santiago de Cuba (December 1997, Naples, Italy); the Desembarco del Granma National Park and the Viñales Valley (December 1999, Marrakesh, Morocco).

The Archaeological Landscape of the First Coffee Plantations of Southeastern Cuba (December 2000, Cairns, Australia); Alejandro de Humboldt National Park (December 2001, Helsinki, Finland); the French Tomb La Caridad de Oriente de Santiago de Cuba (November 2003, Paris, France); the Historic Urban Center of Cienfuegos (July 2005, Durban, South Africa); and an area of the Historic Center of the city of Camagüey (Québec, Canada, July 2008), are also highlighted.
