Dec, 2024.- The personal photographic exhibition Cuba: Heritage and Nature, by Lázaro David Najarro Pujol, continues to capture the interest of children, adolescents and young people in the city of Nuevitas, in northern Camagüey province.
The exhibition is made up of a selection of 19 snapshots from a collection of more than 100 pictures that illustrate the book Cuba: An Excursion through Time, published in nine languages.
It is a journey made by the author from 2010 to 2020 through the first eight villages founded by the Spaniards in the largest of the Antilles more than five centuries ago.
They are Baracoa, Bayamo, Trinidad, Camagüey, Sancti Espíritus, Santiago de Cuba, Havana and Remedios, the latter, located at the north of Villa Clara.
The exhibition Cuba: Heritage and Nature is on display at the Guernica Gallery in Nuevitas.
Conversation and workshop on appreciation of visual arts and promotion of Lázaro David's personal exhibition were held with fifth grade students of the Ciro Redondo School, which belongs to the also known as the Industrial City of Camagüey.
Guided tours were also scheduled for students from the Félix Varela and Aurelia Castillo elementary schools and the Ignacio Agramonte Basic High School, among others, to travel through time.
The exhibition is part of the Photographic November International Event, in Camagüey.
According to the Guernica Gallery management, it will be open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the month of December.
