Nov, 2024.- "I like working with young children because I can develop skills and feelings in them," refers Mireya Maldonado, a preschool educator with 36 years of experience.

Since she was a child, she liked to be a teacher, although she was always more attracted to early childhood education because it is the ideal stage to mold the little ones with good behaviors.

"Sometimes I feel sad and when I get to school the children come and immediately greet me: 'Teacher, teacher!' and that makes me forget the problems; the same happens when I go to the hospital and doctors who were my students tell me: 'You were my teacher'.

Some time ago, I had an angina and the person who assist me was Dairon, a child I educated years ago in the kindergarten, and at that moment I felt very safe".

Creativity is part of the skills that allow her to capture the attention of the children.

"I always try to work with a puppet, teach them poetry related to the theme."

For Mireya Maldonado, the key to remaining in the teaching profession for so many years is simply to have a good character and to teach them respect, but above all a lot of love because "everything is possible with love".
