Nov, 2024.- The inauguration of the Cirules por siempre Exhibition, at the Ricardo Cabrero Library in this Camagüey municipality, paid tribute to the local writer Enrique Cirules Morell on the 86th anniversary of his birth.

Elvia Aguilar de La Rosa, technician of the institution, highlighted the figure of one of the most significant contemporary essayists and narrators, who maintained the difference of contributing to the bibliographic heritage by donating texts of his authorship as they were published.

The exhibition was made up of the following books: El corredor de caballos; Hemingway, ese desconocido; Extraña lluvia en la tormenta; Los guarda fronteras; La otra guerra; Conversación con el último norteamericano; Hemingway, Bluefields; La saga de La Gloria City; Santa Clara santa; Los vendedores de plumas de garza; En la corriente impetuosa; and Los perseguidos.

The faithful researcher of the roots of his people obtained the status of Illustrious Son of the town of San Fernando de Nuevitas. He participated in various editions of the International Book Fair in this city and was part of the prestigious jury of the literary contest Emilia Bernal, sponsored by the Ricardo Cabrero Library in 2005 and 2007.

Manuel Enrique Cirules Estrada, son of the honoree, thanked with deep emotion the initiative and others carried out on previous occasions that include the presence of writers, students and people in general.

He also specified that he was in charge of delivering to the library the 17 books written by his father, four of them unpublished, of which the manuscripts are preserved and are awaiting publication.
