Nov, 2024.- From a computer engineer she became a journalist, and what a journalist! Her imagination and shrewdness led her to the protagonist who brought her story to life: a fisher-woman.
Maybe she never thought that the title given to her radio work would lead her to see herself reflected in it as well, because Loba de mar (Sea wolf) began to be created in her mind while she met the interviewee and, little by little, she entered into that world of sea, dedication and passion.
Arianna Suárez Torres is a simple young woman who, when she arrives at Radio Nuevitas, was very quiet and embarrassed by everything, until little by little she began to move through the fascinating world of radio. First she was webmaster of the digital site, then she worked in administrative and reporting tasks in the News Department, in order to organize her agenda in such a way that she could take care of her little son, her family, and the many tasks assigned in her daily work. In this way, she grew in experiences, knowledge and her path opened up because she knows how to combine her professional and family duties very well.
Arianna is already more expressive, her 15 years at CMHL have strengthened her and now she defends, at all costs, her principles, ideas, like a true wolf. I think that this synchrony came from her, as she saw herself reflected, in some way, in another Cuban woman who gave life to the profession of fishing and gave birth to a radio work awarded at the Artemisa National Cuban Radio Festival 2024.She is back in her second home, she received the applause of radio broadcasters, listeners and neighbors who know her very well, and as she says: 'receive the congratulations of those of us who love you and recognize your dedication and passion', to the point of outdoing your teachers.
Congratulations Arianna, we wish you many more triumphs so that the echo of the Camagüey sea continues in history.
