Sept, 2024.- Maribel Navarro Morell, a resident of Nuevitas, had several reasons to become a professional in the education sector.
She initially graduated as a medium technician in Civil Construction at the Héroes de Angola Polytechnic Institute in Nuevitas; then she chose a major in Pedagogy and in her fourth year she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Construction.
"I like teaching, transmitting knowledge to the students, seeing their physical and mental growth, and, of course, to do my bit in the classroom to prepare them for their future life," she said.
She has worked for almost twenty years as a professor at the Mario Herrero Toscano Polytechnic Institute, including her work in the sister country of Equatorial Guinea for more than two years, where she raised the quality of Cuban education to a high level.
"Fulfilling the internationalist mission was a wonderful experience where I shared and brought back experiences to teach my colleagues and students".
After enjoying her well-deserved vacation Navarro Morell confesses "I have great expectations in my return to the classroom, I look forward to continue my work and contribute to the students’ professional training”.
Maribel feels satisfied because she also inspires students to follow the paths of pedagogy, a noble profession that nourishes the soul.
