August, 2024.- As part of the Public Health program in this municipality in northeastern Camagüey, workers at the Nursing Home prioritize attention to the elderly, who receive comprehensive care that guarantees their quality of life.
Doctors, nurses and nursing assistants are in charge of caring for the residents of this institution, as well as ensuring their appropriate hygiene, nutrition and treatment, to keep their illnesses compensated.
In addition, every three months the old people are evaluated psychologically and physically by a multidisciplinary team to assess their state of mind and health.
The health care center also provides podiatry and passive physical exercise services, which contribute to improving the quality of life of those who live there.
In this way, the Cuban health system offers the possibility of a peaceful and safe existence to the elderly, a number that is growing every year due to the aging population.
