In my daily walk through the Nuevitas’ streets, I heard a boy imploring as if the approval of his request was a matter of life and death.
-Mom, let me dye my hair blue like the other kids in the neighborhood," he exclaimed.
-"Okay, but only during the vacation period," the mother replied.
During the summer period, even the youngest members of homes look for alternatives to acquire the consent of their tutors and wear certain styles that, according to the regulations of the educational institutions, are not appropriate during the school year.
In the streets of Nuevitas you can see a variety of hairstyles and haircuts, which are not limited to gender, number or age, but to the desire to look according to the tastes of each individual and the current fashions.
The choice is wide, it all depends on the person’s preference and the budget available to the families, but remember that this is the hottest time of the year and, at least for Cubans, we like to go to the beaches all the time, especially when the slogan of 2024 says Summer Mode.
