June, 2024.- Under the leadership of the Manuel Maure Parri literary club, the fourth edition of the Versos al Salitre Poetry Festival will take place in this coastal city from the 21st to the 23rd.

Delegates from Guáimaro, Santa Cruz del Sur, Florida, Minas, Camagüey, and Nuevitas, will meet for this event, but will also be joined by the presence of a poet from Puerto Padre, territory of Las Tunas.

The event will have the special participation of Yoandra Santana Perdomo, president of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and director of the Nicolás Guillén Foundation in Camagüey, and the photographer Eduardo Rodríguez Martínez.

Eight activities are planned for this festival of letters, in which 28 poets will share their creations. This year, other artistic manifestations will be included, in addition, the poets will approach the community of Número Uno, which will be dedicated to infants.

Among those honored on the day were El Club de la Década, the Artesanos del Cañón project and the Danzarte company.

Visits to the Ricardo Cabrero library, the Guernica art gallery, the Patio Picasso, the municipal Museum, Salvador Cisneros Betancourt Park and Radio Nuevitas are planned as part of the event.

The Versos al Salitre Poetry Festival was held for the first time on December 5, 2021 with the participation of local and Camagüey artists.
