June, 2024.- As in every summer season, the sports sector of this municipality plans to offer a variety of options to locals and visitors in the eight popular councils.
According to the director of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation in this territory, Irsia Yaumara Moré Hernández, all sports facilities will be opened and will offer, for those interested, courses of several disciplines, including karate, sports aerobics and ballroom aerobics.
In addition to this, activities will continue in the Micro Uno Biosaludable and the Weight Training Gym, which has a large number of clients.
From July until August 31, the soccer cups will be held at the La Quinta field with the representation of all the neighborhoods of the city -the children will compete in the morning and the first category in the afternoon, a sport loved by the Nuevitas people.
Basketball tournaments will also be held at the Angel Alberto Martinez Coliseum, and activities will continue to be carried out at the grandparents’ meeting and in the elderly care centers - Eterna Juventud Grandparents' Home and the Nursing Home.
The sports sector workers in Nuevitas promote year-round exercise and healthy recreation, ingredients that provide health and well-being.
