THE BIRTHDAY OF COMMANDER FIDEL CASTRO RUZ IS CELEBRATED BY WORKERS OF THE NUEVITAS THERMOELECTRIC
In keeping with the commemorations for the 96th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, workers at the October 10 thermoelectric plant held a special morning session this Friday to pay a well-deserved tribute to his legacy.
Gilberto Martínez Álvarez, an official of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Camagüey who attends to the industry sector, accompanied them in the tribute and pointed out that the reality of today's world would be very different without the genius of his strategic thinking.
The opening words were delivered by Luis Manuel Santiesteban Canales, general secretary of the Young Communist League Committee of the power plant, who, based on a biographical synthesis of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, highlighted the human qualities that are reflected in the same attitude that distinguishes the youth of this thermoelectric plant.
The commitment that is seen in Fidel, from his earliest age in defense of the oppressed, became a central theme of the exchange generated by the promotion of the books published by the Casa Editorial Verde Olivo: A boy named Fidel Alejandro, by María Luisa García Moreno and Rafaela Valerino Romero; A young man named Fidel Alejandro and A leader named Fidel Alejandro, the latter by the first of the aforementioned authors.
Maintaining the validity of Fidel Castro is a maxim in Nuevitas for the sake of exalting that giant whose legacy transcends borders.
