Nuevitas, Aug 2 .-In fair defiance of the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 and the impact of the US blockade on the Island, the Cuban Public Health sector stands in this municipality northeast of Camagüey to guarantee the quality of medical services to the population.
Geima Álvarez Calero, head of Primary Health Care in the territory, explained that this year they resumed and improved services at the Francisco Peña Peña polyclinics in the municipal seat and the Tenth Anniversary of Camalote.
In the case of the first, the Chemical part of the Clinical Laboratory, the area for abortions and Ultrasound were air-conditioned. In the second, the Clinical Laboratory benefited, an achievement based on the effort and financing of the Health Directorate and the Government in this demarcation.
Likewise, they tend to raise the resolution level of the limitations that the Doctor's Offices and the Family Nurse have.
On the other hand, communication was improved through the telephone service of these units with the polyclinics, in some cases through fixed equipment and in others through the granting of mobile line.
This improvement is carried out in Nuevitas in line with the projections of the senior management of the branch in the country, which proposed to declare the current calendar as the Year of Primary Health Services in Cuba.
