Camagüey, Aug 14 - The work of Cuban composer, guitarist, performer and philosopher Marta Valdés was exalted in the gathering of love poems and romantic songs organized once a month by the Camagüey’s branch of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba ( UNEAC), led by the writer Sergio Morales Vera.
Pieces such as Let It Follow Alone, Words and If you return from the National Music Prize were also performed by soloists Simón Roberto and Leopoldo Lastre, accompanied by Michel Hernández on the guitar.
Marta Valdés is also the author of works such as In the imagination, You dominate, It is not necessary, You do not suspect, There are a thousand forms, Take this flower, Song of the Old Square, Cry, and Difficult song, among many other melodies.
Also among songs and poems the soloist Liudmila Pardillo, performed compositions by Giraldo Piloto and Ernesto Vera, especially Forgive me conscience, while the singer Dawlyn Aldana Boudel delighted with I do nothing but think of you, of Joan Manuel Serrat.
The poet Ernesto Agüero attended the meeting held at the UNEAC Activity Hall in the city of Camagüey, with prose The book of Yudith to affirm that “on the written pages, I will write this poem.”
The Lady of the tunes evoked the work of the Havana poet, based in Camagüey, Joaquín Rieumont Pérez and declared the tenth Remembrance of love, while the poet Yunexis Nobalbe Aguilera recalled a love story through her prose Reunion.
The Voces duo offered a recital of songs by Latin American and Cuban composers, among which are: Mucho Corazón, by Luis Miguel and the immortal bolero Nos, by Pedro Junco song of which Luis Sixth, National Journalism Award, expressed that more than A woman is credited with being the inspirational muse of the bolero and that for half a century it was a mystery to whom she had dedicated it.
The president of the provincial committee of the UNEAC in Camagüey, Sergio Morales Vera convened in prose to a new gathering of love poems and romantic songs: “I invite you to be happy, / if you go with me, / it can be a minute, / or it can be a century. ”
