Nuevitas,  July 9 .- Flora and Fauna lead the conservation projects on protected areas of to protect the natural values of the ecosystem and take part on the persons enviromental education, fundamentally of the early ages life which are priorities of the work at the conservation area of Flora and Fauna administrative institution in the municipality at the north east of Camagüey. 

Four protected areas include the work, Ballenatos Keis  and plantation of mangrove- trees refuge of Nuevitas managed resource, Sabinal key, inside of it with  two more strict category:Totuguilla- Maternillo ecological reserve- with national character and Laguna  Larga- Loma de la Alegría managed floristic reserve. 

Explained Mileidy Valier Labañino specialist in conservation, that are included investigations  program and monitoring of the little Calabash- tree and the coast Sabine on Sabinal key- its name prtoceeds from there- the coastal ecosystems with mangroves presence, the Iguana, conga Hutía and the lizard of crest,  among others. 

In like manner are taking work foward in order to eliminate the invaiders species as the Marabou and hardwood tree, depending the places where exist, also the impact that cause on  the environ, so as the planting of mangrove proapágulos and the channel and species like the  mastic- tree at  degraded area of the Ballenatos keis.

Also the specialists  and technicians are carring out  projects about  protected areas with the watching and protection in which  sellect the human activities incidencies and the other question as the climatic change, knowns by  means of the observation register in   each one of the manage sectors or in the position in which are located, and others related with enviromental education on communities as Santa  Rita at the Nuevitas city. 

The Nuevitas institution develops  24 conservation projects this 2019,  which are financed for  the national Fund to the Forestal development in Cuba, beginning with protected areas existence at  the northeast of Camagüey legislated at the  Decree Law 201 of the council of Ministry.
